Frequently asked questions
Can I mix items between the tiers?
You can, but the tiers are built as complete kits rather than as a single list at three price points. Mixing usually means buying a part twice, most often the sheets, because a thicker mattress from a higher tier needs a deeper pocket than the tier below specifies. Pick one build and change individual lines deliberately.
Do I need a box spring with any of these builds?
No. Every frame in these builds is a platform, which supports a foam or hybrid mattress directly on slats. That is the single largest saving available, and at king size it is substantial. A box spring is only required when the frame is an open rail frame with nothing to carry the mattress.
Why do the sheets change between tiers?
Because the mattress gets thicker. A fitted sheet is sold by pocket depth: standard fits up to 12 inches, deep pocket 13 to 17, and extra deep 18 to 22. A 10 inch mattress takes a standard pocket, a 14 inch one does not. Anything on top of the mattress, especially a topper, counts toward that depth too.
